Talk a little bit about what brought you to teach Pilates
When I was younger, I was an athlete who trained very viciously, creating wear and tear that ultimately lead to back surgery. The surgery solved that local problem, but I spent years trying to workout, and a lot of exercises would irritate my back and neck. I wanted to do certain moves in my mind, but my body could not perform them. I started to search and explore for ways I could exercise that could prevent pain in my back and neck, and I stumbled across reformer pilates, which solved my problems. I finally found a way to exercise that helped me build strength with fluidity. Now, I’m confident to say that my physical fitness and strength is uniformly a result of practicing the combination of my body and my mind from pilates.

What I most enjoy about teaching is ....
I want to share these unique and helpful pilates movements that can positively shape their body to the best it can be. I’m surprised and happy to be able to witness my body move so fluidly, and would like to spread this joy to my students.

My favorite Joseph Pilates quote says: “Physical fitness is the first requisite of happiness”, and I hope more people will find the mind and body happiness through various Pilates movements.
